Treaty Settlement Surveys

As First Nations continue to sign modern day treaty settlements with the federal and provincial governments, Polaris has had the privilege of working with some of these First Nations on treaty settlement surveys. We have worked with the Huu-ay-aht, Uchucklesaht and Tla’amin Nations to survey some of the federal and provincial lands being transferred to these first nations. These projects often require retracing original surveys that date back to the 1800’s and make for an interesting, physically demanding and culturally rewarding experience.
